Program Model
Workshop sessions teach from evidence-based programs, providing information to parents of children ages 1 to 18. Entertaining video is used to demonstrate common parenting challenges and solutions, allowing plenty of time for group discussion and activities. P4NV changes lives by providing parents with an opportunity to develop, share and put into action new skills and ideas for helping young children and teenagers grow safely into happy, hope filled, loving, respectful successful adults.
The Need
Rising rates of crime and violence, the availability of alcohol and drugs, negative peer pressure, and declining connections with families and neighbors further complicate parenting.
In communities where children see violence, it is easy for them to begin imitating violent behavior.
Youth are influenced by their relationships and environment.
VIOLENCE IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOR - VIOLENCE IS PREVENTABLE
